   How You Can Lend a Hand  
Explore new career areas, learn new skills, gain work 
experience, empower others. These are just a few reasons to volunteer at the 
Medina County Board of MRDD.     Here are some general ways you can help:         Coach or assist with sporting events and 
Special Olympics  Chaperone field trips or social Activities Assist in the classrooms  Be a friend to a child or adult with 
          disabilities  Help plan social events  Work with preschooler  OR tell us how YOU can help           W.I.N.G.S. 
(Working with Individuals Needing Guidance & 
Support)  
Designed to encourage students ages 15 - 20 to explore careers 
in the field of developmental disabilities, W.I.N.G.S. also provides various 
volunteer opportunities for service hours, school projects and high school 
career portfolios.
